Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

ChipWorth is a stateless pricing API. We've tried to make this policy as short as the actual amount of data we keep about you.

No accounts

ChipWorth does not require or offer user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no API key required to use the public endpoints.

No user data stored

We do not store the queries you send, the prices you check, or any identifying information about you. Each request is processed independently and nothing about it is written to a database.

Requests are processed per request

When you call an endpoint like /api/check, ChipWorth resolves your card, looks up current pricing data (or the fallback catalog), computes a response, and returns it. Nothing from that request is retained afterward.

Platform request logs

ChipWorth is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosting providers, Vercel's platform generates short-lived request logs (such as IP address, request path, and timestamp) purely for operating and securing the infrastructure. These logs are retained briefly by the hosting provider and are not accessed, exported, or used by ChipWorth for any other purpose.

Third-party data sources

Pricing data may be sourced from public eBay and Best Buy listings. Following a link from a ChipWorth response to eBay or Best Buy is subject to their own respective privacy policies.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
